🔧 Welcome to Troubleshooting
Having trouble with an iTaouri app? Don't worry — most issues can be resolved quickly with the right steps. This guide covers the most common problems and their solutions.
Before You Start: Make sure your device is running Android 5.0 or higher, has at least 100MB free storage, and is connected to a stable internet connection (if the app requires it).
If you can't find your issue here, please contact us at support@itaouri.com with your device details and a description of the problem.
🚫 Installation Issues
"App Not Installed" Error
1
Check Storage Space: Go to Settings → Storage and ensure you have at least 100MB free. Delete unnecessary files or apps if needed.
2
Re-download the APK: The file may be corrupted. Delete the current download and re-download from the official link in your email.
3
Clear Package Installer Cache: Go to Settings → Apps → Package Installer → Storage → Clear Cache, then try installing again.
4
Enable Unknown Sources: Make sure you've allowed installation from your browser or file manager. See our Installation Guide for detailed steps.
"Blocked by Play Protect" Warning
1
Tap "More Details" on the Play Protect warning dialog.
2
Tap "Install Anyway" to proceed with the installation. Our apps are completely safe — this warning appears for all non-Play Store apps.
3
Disable Play Protect Scanning (Optional): Open Google Play Store → Menu → Play Protect → Settings → Turn off "Scan apps with Play Protect" temporarily.
Download Link Not Working
1
Check Your Internet Connection: Ensure you have a stable WiFi or mobile data connection.
2
Try a Different Browser: Some browsers block downloads. Try Chrome, Firefox, or Samsung Internet.
3
Check Link Expiration: Some platform links expire after 30 days. Contact us with your order details for a fresh link.
💥 App Crashes & Freezes
App Crashes on Launch
1
Restart Your Device: A simple restart can clear temporary glitches and free up RAM.
2
Clear App Cache: Go to Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Storage → Clear Cache. Do NOT tap "Clear Data" unless you want to reset the app completely.
3
Update to Latest Version: Check your email for update notifications or visit our website for the latest version. Older versions may have bugs fixed in updates.
4
Check Android Version Compatibility: Ensure your device runs Android 5.0+. Some newer features require Android 8.0+.
App Freezes or Becomes Unresponsive
1
Force Close the App: Go to Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Force Stop, then reopen the app.
2
Free Up RAM: Close other apps running in the background to free up memory.
3
Disable Battery Optimization: Go to Settings → Battery → Battery Optimization → Find the app → Select "Don't Optimize." Some battery savers aggressively kill apps.
🔊 Audio & Performance Issues
No Sound or Audio Problems
1
Check Device Volume: Make sure your media volume is turned up (not just ringtone volume).
2
Check App Permissions: Go to Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Permissions → Ensure "Microphone" and "Storage" permissions are allowed if the app needs them.
3
Restart Audio Services: Restart your device or toggle Airplane Mode on/off to reset audio drivers.
Slow Performance or Lag
1
Close Background Apps: Too many apps running simultaneously can slow down performance.
2
Clear App Cache: Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Storage → Clear Cache.
3
Reduce App Settings: If the app has quality/performance settings, try lowering them (e.g., reduce video quality, disable animations).
4
Check Storage Health: If your device storage is nearly full (less than 10% free), performance will degrade significantly across all apps.
🔐 VPN & Security App Issues
VPN Not Connecting
1
Check Internet Connection: Ensure you have an active internet connection before connecting to VPN.
2
Try Different Server: Some servers may be temporarily overloaded. Try switching to a different server location.
3
Disable Battery Saver: Battery optimization can kill VPN background processes. Add the VPN app to your battery saver whitelist.
4
Check for Conflicting VPNs: Only one VPN can be active at a time. Disable any other VPN apps before using ours.
Call Recorder Not Working
1
Grant All Permissions: The app needs Phone, Microphone, and Storage permissions. Go to Settings → Apps → Call Recorder → Permissions and enable all.
2
Check Android Version: Android 10+ has restrictions on call recording. Ensure you're using the latest version of our app which includes workarounds for newer Android versions.
3
Use Speaker Mode: On some devices, recording only works when the call is on speaker. Try enabling speaker during calls.
📷 Photo/Video Editor Issues
App Can't Access Photos/Videos
1
Grant Storage Permission: Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Permissions → Storage/Files and Media → Allow.
2
Check File Format: Ensure your photos/videos are in supported formats (JPG, PNG, MP4, etc.).
Export/Save Not Working
1
Check Storage Permission: The app needs permission to write files to your device.
2
Free Up Space: Edited videos especially need significant free space. Ensure you have at least 500MB free.
3
Try Different Export Quality: Lower the export resolution/quality if the app crashes during export.
🔄 Update Issues
Update Not Installing
1
Uninstall Old Version First: Some major updates require a fresh install. Backup your data, uninstall the old version, then install the new one.
2
Download Fresh APK: Don't use cached downloads. Delete the old APK and download the new one from the fresh link in your update email.
Lost Data After Update
⚠️ Important: Updates should preserve your data, but if you did a clean install, data may be lost. Always backup important files before updating. Contact us immediately if you lost critical data — we may be able to help recover it.
📋 General Device Health Check
If multiple apps are having issues, the problem might be with your device rather than a specific app:
- Restart your device at least once every 3-4 days to clear memory leaks.
- Keep Android updated to the latest version supported by your device.
- Free up storage — aim for at least 15-20% free space at all times.
- Remove suspicious apps — malware or poorly coded apps can affect system stability.
- Factory reset (last resort): If nothing works, backup your data and perform a factory reset. This resolves most software-related issues.
